Having a C-Section?

I have MANY mamas tell me "I wish I could have a birth story, I'm having a c-section.". Wait what? YOU CAN! I too have c-sections, so I fully understand wanting to get those moments captured. A c-sections is still a birth story! It doesn't matter how the baby gets here.. its still your story.. a story that should be captured and treasured.

I recently attended a c section.. it wasn't a planned c section. It was suppose to be a home birth, that turned into a hospital birth, that turned into a c section. We cant  predict how our bodies will react to labor.. so disappointment comes when your "birth plan" doesn't turn out the way it should. But in the end we have a baby in our arms to snuggle and love on. I got to capture all the different stages of this birth.. and the c section. Because sometimes hospitals are very kind and understanding of how important these photos can be.. and they allow me in.

And then there are times where they say only one support is allowed in. Well that just rubs me the wrong way but whatever. Lol. This is the time where I just go ahead and hand my camera to daddy/or the supporter that is allowed in. Whatever photos that they capture I still edit . When you are back into recovery or your room I then continue shooting:)

SO don't say you can have a birth story! Because YOU CAN... and you should!:) I do have special rates for scheduled c sections. Ask me about them!:)

4. Brigham City Hospital: I will be offering discounted price for Brigham City Hospital. Not for any reason other then the fact that its the only hospital that I do not have to travel to. Its literally 3 blocks away from my home. So for this it only makes since to to charge as much if i was needed to travel 30 miles to and 30 miles from.

5. Doula: Yes, that's right I am training to become a Doula. I am beyond excited for this adventure and journey. How ever I will not be your birth photographer and Doula .. I am happy to take your first moments story after birth.. but you will need to find another birth photographer during labor, and birth. Having a Doula present at your birth comes with so many benefits. I highly suggest you research those benefits! I will be offering HUGE discounts on this service while I am still training!

Looking like a mom

Do you worry you wont look "good" in your photos for your birth story? I have to say this story I just did Saturday is exactly how you should want to look like for your birth story! She didn't have her make up on all perfect. Her hair wasn't freshly done with hair spray. Yet she looked beautiful . So I ask please done stress about looking "good" in your pictures. Look real. Look like a mom. If you do this then you will look beautiful! Birth is something no natural.. its not about the glitts, make up and hair. Its so beyond that!
